ElBaradei : I AM Egyptian

I think ElBaradei as politician predicted the level of debate he will cause with the announcement that he would run for presidency for certain conditions. For the second day in role the official press is attacking him referring and calling him with all sort of names and accusations starting with the dreamer pensioner and ending with MB agent who is implementing an Iranian agent !! “The last description is from Al Gomhouria’s yesterday Chief in editor column, it seems Ali Ibrahim takes his info from the Israeli newspapers which are accusing the former IAEA director of being bias to Iran and Syria !!”

Despite he made it clear that He is 100% Egyptian and he does have any foreign Young ElBaradei passport whether from Sweden or from the States before , the NDP regime has spread in the last 48 hours these rumors and so in exclusive statement that made the headline in Al Shorouk today ElBaradei again says that he is not a Swedish. The foreign media began to follow the conditions of ElBaradei and things began to be interesting.

I will not ask again about the intentions of the man because we can’t be sure of it 100% but there are some important points I believe we should discuss especially his weaknesses or rather what the NDP wants us to believe as weaknesses.

The No.1 weakness :

He lived most of his life outside Egypt and does not know about its internal issues anything.

Well with my all respect and Mubarak and his son have really done in 28 years and they spent all their life in Egypt !??? They are even worse because after 28 years we found many villages in Egypt from the North to the South have no access to clean water or electricity or sanity for God sake !!??

Do I have to speak about shanty towns !!? I did even get near from the economic policies !!??

Gamal Mubarak most of his life has lived in an ivory tower , it is not a sin or a weakness point I believe , a person he can be born to rich family and yet feels the woes of his people without being a socialist or communist still Gamal Mubarak does not really feel the woes of the people and please do not tell me the project of his foundation to help the 1000 poorest villages in the country is something great because it is the least thing he can do to this country after 28 years of his father’s promise paradise !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The No.2 weakness :

He does not know anything our internal political life

Do we have a real internal political life for God sake in Egypt !!?? I believe you know just like I do most if not all parties in Egypt are puppet shadow parties. You know that we do not have a real political life in Egypt thanks to the Parties law in our constitution which you know that it needs to be changed in order to have a real political life. We all remember what happened to Ayman Nour and Noaman Gomaa
‘how is he by the way ?’

The No.3 weakness:

Lack of military experience

Yes and does Gamal Mubarak have any ?? In fact did Gamal Mubarak do his military service like the rest of men in this country !!?? Gamal Mubarak depends on his father’s men loyalty during his life and this is why he wants the hereditary scenario to happen in his father’s loyalty ; he knows and we know that the army would prefer Omar Soliman over him , in fact any other military man over him and it is not between him and Omar Soliman but between him and Gamal Mubarak.

Also did not the NDP trolls were calling for a new era where we would have a civilian president !!?? Why dos not that civilian candidate fit in to the profile ??

The No.4 Weakness :

He is America’s puppet

Do I have to speak about this point !!?? For God our national dignity has been humiliated in this world in the past 28 years to the degree we have become the puppets of the world not only the United States. What Gamal Mubarak and his frequent visits to Washington to show himself !!??

Really  !!? Did you really follow his career in the IAEA !!??

The No.5 Weakness :

He did not present a presidential program

Well actually he presents general thoughts and one main big presidential promise : a new constitution. He has not actually announced that he will run , he only set some conditions ; if these conditions were fulfilled , I am sure that he will present a serious presidential program.

Already I have a question to the NDP trolls : How many promises did Mubarak achieve in his latest presidential program in the last elections ?? I hope someone would be following him and his program because this is what is usually done in real democratic presidential countries.

What else !!?? These are the 5 weaknesses I have read in the past 24 hours from the NDP trolls all over the internet.

  2. Just like Kofi Annan knew not to mess with the politics of Ghana, Dr. Baradei will do the same (HE WAS BEGGED TO RUN!) Dr. Baradei is a distinguished nobel laureate who will be welcomed home with open arms after he retires just like kofi annan nothing more nothing less!

in egypt we say 'leave the bread to the baker!'--->seeb el 3aish le khabazo!

btw Z love the picture! you are always so good with getting great footage!

  3. @ahmed NY: what is the point of your post really? and who is the "7'abazo". El Baradi had to set these conditions because he knows exactly how things have been re presidential elections and so it wont make sense for him to run while he and all of us know the elections will not be fair also he doesnt want to be a puppet in the regimes desire to show a fake free election to secure int acceptance.
This man will still get my vote if he runs

  4. @'what is my point really,' those so called conditions are Dr. Baradei politely declining the irrational and exuberant opposition's request for a quixotic run in 2010! (he gave a very diplomatic NO, but some are too deaf to hear it!)

and khabazo my dear anony is gamal mubarak, a true man of the people who as been HERE for the past 10 YEARS HELPING our people. and trying to reform our government for the better. NOT some guy in an ivory tower somewhere in Vienna insulated from the common egyptian (with all do respect to Dr. Baradei!.) THAT's what i mean by khabazo!

  7. @Ahmed 'Gamal Mubarak helping for 10 years and trying to reform the government'

WHAT A JOKE!! ASK AHMED EZZ AND GAMAL'S OTHER CROONIES HOW MUCH HIS CUT IN EVERY PROJECTS IN EGYPT AND THAT GOES ALSO FOR TALAAT MUSTAFA AND SAWIRIS! DONT FORGET ALSO GAMAL MUBARAK IS A BRITISH CITIZEN.

WHAT REFORM R U REFERRING TOO SO FAR WE SAW REFORM OF DRINKING FROM SEWAGE WATER, VEGIES WITH CHEMICAL THAT COZ CANCER, TO BUY BREAD AVERAGE 5 HOURS STAY IN LINE, VILLAGES AFTER 28 YEARS STILL NO CLEAN WATER AND ELECTRICITY, NO DECENT EDUCATION, NO HEALTH CARE, OR DECENT HOSPITAL EVEN DOCTORS, SALARY BELOW LE200 NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO LIVE ON ONLY BREAD, CRIME RATES SKY HIGH AND PROSTITUTION ON THE RISE. WHAT REFORM IS THAT GAMAL OR HIS FATHER BROUGHT TO EGYPT AFTER 28 YEARS. PLS LOOK AT ISRAEL IN 60 YEARS THE AVERAGE ISRAELY CITIZENS MAKE $25,000 A YEAR WHICH IS EQUAL LE130,000 A YEAR AND FOR ANY EGYPTIAN TO MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY HE WILL WORK ALL HIS LIFETIME. SHAME ON YOU AND THOSE WHO SUPPORTED MUBARAK FAMILY!

THE ONLY REFORM FOR EGYPT IS TO GET NEW PRESIDENT BUT NOT GAMAL MUBARAK!

  8. privatization is not a crime! ezz bought a failing public sector company and turned it into a powerhouse company that feeds tens of thousands of workers and their families.

as an investment banker gamal went into many ventures with many egyptians! It is not a crime to make money unless you are a Nasserite! Unless you have documents and links to your ACCUSATIONS that Gamal influenced the sale of public sector companies at bargain basement prices, you really are just spreading rumors!

blaming gamal for raw sewage in the water and urban blight is not fair! many emerging market countries are in a similar position and we are actually doing better than many. and pretty soon UNDER GAMAL ISA. we will surpass brazil and india!

as for israel's living standard we have no one else to blame but COLONEL NASSER! while the eshkenazi refugees from europe were busy buliding their country from the ground up, nasser was busy taking peoples property and waging war in yemen!

look what '3ala gazmetic ya amrica' has brought us, doctors that make 200le prostitutes and a blighted young population leaving by the droves! BUT PRESIDENT GAMAL MOHAMAD HOSNI MUBARACK will change all of that ISA.

  9. I don't think Gamal is such a bad choice as you are paintng him. Yes indded, his father is the present President of Egypt and provided the longest time of peace this country has ever experienced.

Do you want to hold this against Gamal???

It's a kind of weirdo strategy to elect somebody just for the reason to avoid the off-spring of President Hosni.

Besides, you are such staunch royalist, you shouldn't have problems with patrimonial powers :) (ok, ok that was a bit mean, I guess)

  10. little pharao don't waste your breath! Z and the anyone but jimmy crowd only have a lens that filter out the negative. They will never admit that hosni's steady hand has kept us out of numerous conflicts in the past 30 years!

Zeinobia, how many times has lebanon been invaded in the last 10 years? and you FAIL to mention that SHARON tried to provoke and evoke a reaction out of hosni around 2000 and hosni steered his country steadily through those tumultuous days! Z you only see the bad and not the good!

and btw nothing wrong with the royals @least we had an independent judiciary and a free economy (BUT WE CAN ONLY LOOK FORWARD NOW.) YOU can't blame hosni for that. that mess was created by the POSTMAN'S SON!

  11. @ahmedNY: If u know any one up there in the system you will know
a)Jamal Mubarak is hated from the ppl as well as many from the regime.
b)who is behind a deal to have Egypt's debts that were going to be forgiven by the states bought by the bank he used to work for and now Egypt has to pay up for it? His name starts with J
    c) The junior's problem is not that he's the junior its bec he never did any thing on his own. He doesnt knw the real Egypt, he thinks those ppl he meet are not staged while we all know they are.
d)have you ever been in his presence and heard him talking? He has no personality, he believes the stunts made up to make him think hes meeting real ppl and certainly no one can approach him at all.
e)His list of friends have all benefited one way or the other from the country and while nothing is wrong with doing business, it is criminal when u abuse your relations to pass on trading info, giving supply orders to particular companies, etc
Just take a look at the names hes been connected with, they are mostly now criminally convicted
    f) He brought nothing that is new, the free-market transition he hijacked as his own, started since the early 1990s while he was away, and started by far more established and respected persons. Egypt started at the same time with Malaysia and yet we are still lagging behind, you know why bec the current regime lost vision and Gamal is nothing but an extension of the same corruption, who's ur daddy system.
Finally, this person who wants to rule us never said a word about the abuse of human rights on several levels in Egypt, Never stood against the brutality of the police (no wonder they are his protectors), preached about ma7sobyia w/o looking at him self first what an irony really, never said a word about the non-stop public transportation accidents costing thousands of Egyptian lives, was fine when Zamalek's traffic flow had to be changed just bec he decided to live there.
Your comment shows you know nothing and El Baradi whom you claim doesnt know much about Egypt and lives in an Ivory tower ironically knows far more about our ppl and country than the junior. And by applying your same analogy since you seem to live away your right as a citizen to have a saying in Egyptian issues should cease bec by your own logic you like El Baradi know nothing :D

  12. well i do know this much, that your hate for gamal has blinded you from straight forward pragmatism! dr baradei is a quixotic dream for a delusional left bent on bringing down a very promising system.

slinging mud and sophistry will not change the fact that mr mubarak is the ideal man for the job.

repeating your 'corruption song will not change a thing!

RICHARD NIXION SAID 'IF THE PRESIDENT DOES IT, IT IS NOT ILEGAL!'---deal with it this is egypt not NORWAY!

AND YES DR BARADEI is a great man and a formidable contender, but all his candidacy can do is weaken gamal in front of the MB and instead of gamal or dr baradei you will have the brotherhood at the helm!

stop playing with fire, dr baradei will only hurt gamal and strengthen the brotherhood, as they seem him as the 'secular' candidate!

    regards

  14. @Ahmed if Gamal becomes president he will never step down.. Egypt will seize to be a republic.. the key is to elect old people so they wont last that long! besides I for one can't take another Mubarak and there is simply not enough stuff left in the country to name after him.. 30 years is enough thank you very much.. so take your propaganda and stick it some where dark
