A Woman That Brought Down The Throne Of Egypt !!

I do not know if you heard the news or not ; Egypt's Biggest Diva Nadia El-Genndy is going to represent the life of Queen Nazli next Ramadan 2010 , yes you read it right dear sir and madam our original public's star "as she used to call herself" is going to Lady Nadia portrays modern Egypt's first queen and mother of its last king on the small screen.
Lady Gaga's mother aka Nadia is more than happy to play Nazli and I can understand why , it is the role of her life. Of course this is not the first time the veteran cult diva who wants to marry again goes back to the Royal era , who shall forget Nadia's masterpiece " A woman that shook the throne of Egypt" !! This time she will play the woman who brought down the Mohamed Ali house !!!!!!!!!!!  I think we should expect to see lots of revealing night gowns, screams and belly dancing not to mention slapping. " Nazli dancing to Hassanein, Nazli screaming at Farouk's face and Nazli being slapped by Fouad…etc"
Speaking seriously I do not know how the life of Nazli will be presented on TV with all its controversy especially concerning her conversion to Christianity with all the religious tension in the country now. It is not the wise thing to do now from my point of view.
The big riddle to me is how some people feel sympathy to this woman , I do not care about her religious believes but I do care about the fact that this woman really had not shaken the throne of Egypt or the throne of Mohamed Ali but she had destroyed it with pleasure. This woman did not understand what the throne of Egypt was , I know she hated it ,it was like a cage for her indeed especially her husband King Fouad was not exactly Shah Jahan  !!

Egyptian women sacrifice everything and I mean everything for the sake of their kids of their future, they can tolerate anything you can imagine just to see their kids successful and this is what I can't understand .. why she did not give damn for her son's future as King or even as a man. I believe Farouk as man before as king would not have suffered if Nazli understood exactly her role as a mother  for real not even as a queen mother !!??
Nazli's suffering in her marriage was not a strange thing then nor in the East taking in consideration that Fouad I was a real abusive husband not to mention the age gap and the difference in personalities but all these reasons do not justify to me her crazy behavior leading to her sad end not to mention her youngest daughter's sad end. For sure there is a lot of drama , there is a lot of Greek tragedy in their story but I feel it is a waste of time to present it.
Nazli was not and is not the example of independence , she was not a feminist so please stop glorifying her. Why we present to the young generation the life of a woman like Nazli and not to present the life and death of Dr. Samira Moussa !!?? what is better as a role model than Egypt's first nuclear woman scientist in 1950s !!?? Why not to present the life of a beautiful princess Fatimah Ismail !!? That wonderful woman who gave to this country more than anyone can imagine !!?It is a waste of money to present a TV series about Nazli in a country like Egypt !!
Anyhow the awaited Nazli TV series won't be the only controversial series next Ramadan as Wahid Hamed is going to present his life time project " The brotherhood" .It is first TV series about the life of the Muslim brotherhood Hassan El-Banna. Jordanian hunk  Eyad Nassar will play the role of El-Banna in a life time opportunity.
You know it will be fun to see Al-Banna Vs. Nazli.

No offence intended at all - but I bet that myself and other Sudanese will relish watching this series.
To us Muhammad Ali is the 'ghazi' - the occupier and oppressor who precipitated the Mahdist Revolution and an underlying unease in Sudanese-Egyptian relations ever since. There is historical respect, but no sympathy for the fate of his dynasty - if his son Ismail's assassination by the Ja'aaliyeen tribal chief in Northern Sudan is anything to go by.
I wonder if a drama production will be ever made that depicts that period... = )

  4. Why is there so much improve through the movie screens about characters that do not inhabit the earth today? Why do people want to see things of the past that is non existant today? What's the reason and why do they not seek their future ruler today? Does Egypt reconize they are in prophecy And that it is Biblical?
